Privacy policy

Short version: no tracking, no cookies, no analytics, no data sale. Our tools work inside your browser. Everything that is still transmitted is listed here. The German version (Datenschutzerklärung) is authoritative.

2. This website

Hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) as our processor. To deliver the page and fend off attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data (IP address, time, requested address, browser identifier). We do not analyse visits. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Transfers to the US rely on Cloudflare's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. No cookies, no third-party content.

3. Browser extensions "KDP Niche Check" and "Keyword Expander for Amazon"

The following applies to both extensions; differences are noted.

Analysis in your browser. KDP Niche Check reads the Amazon page you opened and analyses it only in your browser; page content is not sent to us. Keyword Expander reads no Amazon page at all – it runs on its own extension page. CSV exports stay on your device in both cases.

Search suggestions. The search term – the one you entered on Amazon (KDP Niche Check) or typed into the tool (Keyword Expander) – is sent to the suggestion service of the respective Amazon marketplace; for the a–z / 0–9 expansion the term plus one letter or digit, for level 2 the term plus a space. It is the same request Amazon's search box makes. We do not receive it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Storage on your device. The daily counter of free analyses or runs (Keyword Expander also keeps your last marketplace and department) and, if you activate Pro, your license key, a random instance ID and check timestamps are stored in your browser's extension storage. Remove the extension or click "Remove key" to delete them.

Pro license check. When you enter a license key, and about once a week afterwards, the extension sends the key, the instance ID and the tool name to our check service (hosted at Cloudflare), which forwards them to Creem and returns only "valid" or "invalid" with an expiry date. The service stores nothing and does not log license keys. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. In Firefox we ask for your consent before the first transmission.

4. Purchases through Creem

Purchases are processed by Creem – Armitage Labs OÜ, Rotermanni 14, 10111 Tallinn, Estonia – as merchant of record, which is responsible for purchase data such as name, email address and payment details. See Creem's privacy notice. We receive what is needed for fulfilment and support (e.g. email address and license status).

5. Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact: hawkshelf@gmail.com.
